[Event Announcement] Mani Rimdu: Tibetan Buddhist Ritual and Sand Mandala Event

On January 25-29, 2016 a 5 day ritual construction of a Tibetan Buddhist Sand Mandala will take place at University of Toronto in the Multi-faith Centre (Koffler House). The event is free and open to the public from 10AM – 5PM daily, and there will be three special events of interest:

  • Ceremony of the Opening of the Mandala and Teaching on the Profound Meaning of the Mandala: January 25, 2016. 10AM – 12 Noon, Tulku Dawa Gyalpo Rinpoche
  • Film Screening: January 26, 2PM – 4PM. Film screening of the documentary Lord of the Dance, Destroyer of Illusion (1985). A film of the annual celebration of the Mani Rimdu three-week festival held in Nepal, presided over by the Trulshik Rinpoche.
  • Ceremony of the Dissolution of the Mandala and the Celebration Offering Feast (Tsok): January 29, 2016. 1:30PM – 2:30PM, Tulku Dawa Gyalpo Rinpoche
