[Event Announcement] Mutual Influence of Huayen School and Yijing 《華嚴思想與易經交涉》 by Professor Qiugao Xing (Jul.30, 2016)

佛教在東漢初年傳入中國後,早期的譯經多採用格義方式,被稱為“格義佛教”.而被用來作為格義資源的,除了最常見的老莊思想外,易學也是其中一種重 要的資源.三國時康僧會即用《易》中“積善之家,必有餘慶”的觀念來解說佛教的善惡報應觀念.此後的支遁、慧遠等善說易,以易說佛,成為中國佛教僧人解說 佛經的一種方式.唐代華嚴思想家和實踐者李通玄(635-730)和華嚴四祖澄觀(738-839),都嘗試結合《易》來理解《華嚴經》,將易學應用於對 華嚴思想的理解中.李通玄的易與華嚴的結合,有“方山易”之說.澄觀則有比較清醒的華嚴宗立塲,强調“借語用之”.

Professor Qiugao Xing

Visiting Scholar of SFU David Lam Centre, Qiugao Xing is Professor and Dean of  College of Humanities and Social Science, China Jiliang University as well as Doctoral Tutor at Jilin University. Professor Qiu received his BA in Philosophy from Jilin University, MA in Religious Studies from the Graduate School of  Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and PhD in Philosophy from China Renmin University. He is affiliated with the Chinese Religious Association, Chinese Philosophy and History Association, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Research Centre. Primary research topics include history of Chinese Buddhism, Buddhist philosophy, and Huayan research. Some of Professor Qiu’s publications are: Li Tong Xuan Buddhist Thought, Manuscripts Annotation, and The Liaofansi Universe.

主講簡介:

邱高興,中國計量大學人文學院教授、院長,吉林大學博士生導師。 1987年吉林大學哲學學士,1990年中國社科院研究生院哲學碩士,1996年中國人民大學哲學博士。中國宗教學會理事、中國哲學史學會理事、中國社科 院佛教研究中心特邀研究員。主要從事中國佛教史、佛教哲學、華嚴宗研究,曾出版有《李通玄佛學思想述評》、《無量壽經譯註》、《了凡四訓譯註》等。

邱教授現正在西門菲沙大學林思齊國際交流中心進行訪學。
