The Canadian Journal of Buddhist Studies is accepting original report from Buddhist Studies researchers in all career stages for the News and Views section of the 2021 issue. We are looking for reports in the following areas:
- News in the field
- Research report and insight
- Fieldwork experience reflection
- Critical reflection on Buddhist Studies secondary literature/state of the field/academic events
- Informal book reviews
- Scholar interview
- Graduate student experiences report (e.g. on challenges of teaching or TA work, mentorship, challenges related to employment prospects and career development)
- New developments in graduate programs
submission guidelines
- Length: 500-700 words. Please get in touch with us if you would like to publish a long-form piece.
- File format: Microsoft Word-compatible files or PDF
- Photo: ensure all images used in the draft meet the copyright requirements and can be published/republished on the blog and the Canadian Journal of Buddhist Studies
- Biographical note: 50 to 200-word introducing your academic background

Publication schedule
The Canadian Journal of Buddhist Studies 2021 issue is planned to be published in the summer. All accepted submissions will be also published on the CJBS News Blog simultaneously.
